In these terms and conditions “Green Fig Caterers” means Green Fig Caterers, and “the client” means the person or company booking the event.
1. Quotations
Quotations are valid for 3 months from date of quotation, and all prices quoted are subject to VAT at the prevailing rate.
2. Confirmation
All bookings should be confirmed by signing and returning a copy of our Terms & conditions. Verbal confirmation will be taken as acceptance of our terms & conditions.
3. Final Numbers
Confirmation of final numbers is usually given seven working days prior to the event unless otherwise advised in writing.
4. Deposit
Green Fig Caterers will notify the Client of the deposit required and dates of payment. All deposits are non refundable.
5. Cancellation
In the event of a confirmed booking being cancelled the following charges will apply:

Within 14 Days of event 25%
Within 7 Days of event 75%
Within 4 working days of event 100%
Any liability to sub contractors or other direct costs or expenses incurred on behalf of the Client will also be charged to the Client.
6. Final Notice
The final invoice will be sent four weeks prior to the event, and is payable within 14 days. Payment may be made by cash or cheque. Green Fig Caterers reserve the right to charge interest at 2% per month on all outstanding balances.
7. Menu Prices
Menu prices are based on costs prevailing at the time of the quotation and are prepared on the basis of specific numbers. The price is subject to alteration depending on the agreed final number of guests. Menu prices and costs of other items supplied may change due to market availability. Green Fig Caterers will endeavour to keep the client informed of any price changes and alterations will be notified promptly.
8. Loss or Damage
The Client is responsible for any loss or damage to hired equipment, however caused, from the time of delivery until collected by Green Fig Caterers, or sub contractor, or returned by the Client. Any losses or breakages will be charged for at full replacement cost.

10. Beverages
All wines, spirits and soft drinks are provided on a sale or return basis, with the exception of some non-stock items and fresh fruit juices. We do not charge corkage, but may make a drink/bar charge for handling, disposal of empty bottles, and or storing Clients own drinks..
11. Tastings
All food and labour costs incurred in arranging food and wine tastings on behalf of the Client will be fully charged to the Client, if no function is booked following the tasting. If a function is booked following a tasting a small charge will be added to the final bill to cover some of the food and staff costs
12. Force Majeure
No liability is accepted for failure of performance due to strike, lock out, hostilities or any other circumstances outside the control of Green Fig Caterers.
